For some travelers, the best way to cover a lot of area in the least possible time is through an ATV ride. This way, you get to see many of interesting sights in just a few hours. The ATV (all terrain vehicle) is an easy vehicle to ride, and can give you an unforgettable adventure! Costa Rica offers numerous ATV tours for you to enjoy and discover the different terrains, touristic spots, and sights.
The adventure starts with the guide (usually bilingual) giving you a safety and security briefing. The guide will give some ATV's driving tips and other related information. A practice session is usually held before the real ride starts.
Most of the time, lunch and drinks are included in the tours. The guides take you on a crazy route, through unpaved paths, old plantations or farms and through bucolic Costa Rican towns. You can also splash through streams, and mud.
For the tour you will be provided with all the necessary equipment. But still it would be a good idea to wear comfortable clothing also i suggest to bringing your bathing suit and a towel can be useful, since some tours would include a dip in a pool, stream or beach. Also, don't forget to bring sneakers (for hiking/trekking).
