You must be wondering why I dedicated a whole article to a lodge, you must be thinking that it must be very good. Yes my friends, it's THAT great! Even though the place Tortuguero was very warm and beautiful, and was able to take a place on my heart on its own. I could've stayed in Mawamba Lodge for a week just to chill out myself! This is why:
The place is quite big. Their grounds were over fifteen square hectares and were full of hiking trails, butterfly gardens and even frog ponds.
The normal bedrooms in the lodge had two double beds with private bath and patio. But there were VIP treatments as well! There was a whole section of the hotel that was dedicated for it. In this area they have suites special for honeymoons as well. These rooms are furnished with comfortable king size beds and have Jacuzzis. And adding to that, you get to eat your breakfast every morning served in your bed while you listen to chirping birds and howling monkeys!
We had the privilege to have a private tour with the manager who took us to the extremely successful butterfly garden that is full of morphos. I say successful because here they flew their wings at an expansive space that is full of flowers and reproduced at extraordinary rates.

I say successful because here they flew their wings at an expansive space that is full of flowers and reproduced at extraordinary rates. After that, he introduced us to the frog pond where they reproduce and introduce local frog specimen intro nature. This was my son's favorite part. He had a blast there as it was like a frog heaven to him!
After all I have said I guess now you know why I wanted to stay!
