Australia's Gold Coast is that area that lies on the eastern-most point of the Australian continent on the border between the Queensland and New South Wales Regions.

For The Adrenalin Rush: There are a variety of thrill seeking activities for you to partake in, if you are looking for that perfect adrenalin rush. With Jet skiing, bungy jumping, helicopter tours and much, the Gold Coast is on its way to being known as the adventure capital of Australia.

Gold Coast museums include the intriguing Ripley's Believe It or Not in Surfers Paradise where visitors can, among other things, investigate the Mars rocks, see the smallest car in the world and have interactive laser adventures. Among the natural attractions and farms to see on the Gold Coast, is Tropical Fruit World, which contains more varieties of tropical fruit than anywhere else on earth and which features jungle river cruises, mini-train rides and orchard discovery walks. Scenic flights are also a must for every visitor to the Gold Coast and a flight in a Sea World helicopter is the best of the best. This world famous park offers scenic tours of awe-inspiring locations like cosmopolitan Surfers Paradise, unspoiled Currumbin Valley and beautiful Tweed Coast.

And if the thrill of bungy jumping and helicopter travel is to much for you then why not spend a lazy day whale watching on the whale, island and sunset evening cruises as offered by Whales in Paradise. As far as theme parks go, no visit to the Gold Coast would be complete without a visit to the Australian Outback Spectacular. This park offers an unsurpassed take on Outback life featuring live action shows, authentic Outback food and live music and is currently featuring a show that pays tribute to the Australian Light Horse Cavalry. Finally, end the evening off with a visit to the 'spook-tacular' Dracula's Cabaret and Restaurant to be entertained by the lively Vampirates or to take a tour through Dracula's Haunted House.

Go Hot Air Ballooning: Ballooning may not come cheap (prices start at $175 per person) but it pays off. Floating soundlessly in the sky is one of those rare experiences that everyone should try at least once. And on the Gold Coast the views are spectacular, with Brisbane, the brilliant sight of the Coasts endless high rises and peaks of Tamborine Mountain and Mt Warning all visible on clear days. Thirty minutes feels like only a moment up there and you'll be wishing for more.
