Check out tours and travel Canada if you want to visit a country that has an appeal all of its own. From peaceful lakes and grand mountain ranges to beautiful forests, Canada has everything, and more. It's little wonder that so many tourists arrive in droves every year. Apart from the outdoor appeal, there are some exciting cities.

Canada is known for its cleanliness and safety, so much so that it has twice been declared the finest country to live in. Canadians proudly respect their magnificent surroundings and are proud to show off the many tourist attractions. You will find the multi-cultural population friendly, helpful and hospitable.

In this article we will look at four of the main provinces that are the most popular catchment areas for tourists. These are Ontario, Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia. Starting with Alberta, this is home to the magnificent Rockies, miles of green forests and vast prairies. Its two main cities, Calgary and Edmonton, will match any of North America's best.

While in Alberta you could base yourself at one of Calgary's many fine hotels. From there you can book a tour that takes you westwards into the Bow Valley to get an amazing view of the Rockies. Then move on to Lake Louise on a scenic highway to the well-known Icefield Parkway to see tranquil streams, lakes and rivers fed by glaciers.

To really appreciate the Canadian outdoors, go to British Columbia. There are a number of great tours that will enable you to enjoy hiking, river-rafting and other water sports. Or take a casual stroll and take in the sights while breathing in crisp, clean air. British Columbia is the bench-mark of eco-tourism in Canada.

Canada's third largest city is Vancouver which is situated in British Columbia. Vancouver is home to a number of international events such as fairs and festivals and, while here, you will definitely experience the international flavor. Located on the Pacific Ocean coastline, Vancouver offers beautiful beaches, lots of entertainment and world class restaurants.

If you visit Ontario you will get the opportunity to see all four of Canada's notorious lakes. This is the only Canadian province that borders all four, namely Lake Huron, Lake Erie, Lake Superior and Lake Ontario. The country's biggest city, Toronto, is the capital of Ontario.

Not forgetting, one of Canada's most visited attractions, the roaring Niagara Falls, is in Ontario. A popular way to see this spectacle is from the air. You can do this by booking an excursion on a light aircraft or a chopper. Other tours offer wonderful trips alongside the Niagara River.

Another popular tourist destination is the charming province of Quebec. Steeped in French tradition, this province is completely different to any other part of Canada. Rich in European culture and history, Quebec radiates a feeling of continental warmth. This is where you will find Montreal, one of the world's most cosmopolitan cities.

When it comes to choosing accommodation in Canada, your options are plenty. From 5-star hotels, right through to camp sites, hostels, lodges, holiday apartments, cottages, ski lodges and motels, you can take your pick. There are also many excellent bed and breakfast establishments.
