The fishing tackle bag has long been a chosen accoutrement among many a fisherman. A lot of anglers have been trading boxes for bags when they discover and take account of the many advantages.

Bags have always beat boxes for holding tackle whenever wading is required. You have nowhere to sit your box down in the middle of a stream. There are many other fishing situations when it is difficult or impossible to efficiently use boxes for your gear.

Some of the time, the dearest place to be would be on a stone which is one step away from a bank. Taking a hop backward and forward for refreshing bait and tackle becomes just plain inconvenient and possibly dangerous.

Typically, the best fish like to hide in the worst places. In some spots, a traditional box would tend to slide into the stream, river or lake. Some days, you might be in a spot where you barely have room for your feet. A bag might be the answer.

Fishing bags work just as well as a box in most cases and have big advantages. Mainly, they keep all your gear with you, in arms reach, any time you need it.

Since every suitable fishing gear bag has a strap or belt fastening, the hands are freed, even when you are traveling. This is a tremendous benefit if you will be climbing up into positions that call for getting a handhold on a limb, rock or rail.

Numerous folks favor a bag when on a boat, particularly on the small ones. Having your tackle under your arm, on your back or on your belt prevents needless rocking.

You can get bags in every size for most angling purposes. A few will be as small as some camera cases for people who will be able to get by with just a little bit. Others are the size of a back pack for folks who want to have it all.

Of course, the bag may not be for everyone. If you require a big strong box to sit on, bags won't cut it. Otherwise, they fare well for almost any occasion.

Make sure the tackle bag has a string or rope that you can attach to you or your boat. We sell an anchor system with a separate pole and I can't tell you how many guys lose the pole because its not tied off.
