California has a lot to offer for those who want to hike. It has some of the best spots in the U.S. and this is what makes the city a popular destination for hiking. Hiking trails can be found all around and give the opportunity to the athlete to enjoy the atmosphere and the scenery of California. The best thing about the trails is that there are many. In fact, you can hike on a different trail every day. Hiking in California is a very pleasant experience for all.

If you are looking for an outdoor activity that is fun and enjoyable to the whole family, hiking in California is the best way to go. You can exercise, enjoy the beautiful and unique scenery and meet people that are also there for the same reason. You can follow the trails along the coastline to forget about your troubles and stresses. Coastline trails are called dram trails and this is due to the fact that they are so wonderful and provide such a breathtaking view, it is almost as if you were dreaming.



Sequoia national Park offers 75 miles of trails and there are also trails in Los Angeles, Orange County and Santa Ana mountains. Trails are so many, you can hike on a different one each day. There are also people who enjoy bicycling and ride their bikes on the trails and others who prefer to climb the rocks. There are many activities you can do and you can also go for snowboard in the northern part of the mountains.

You see, hiking in California is something everyone can do and this makes it a great destination for families and individuals. If you are just starting the sport, you shouldn't hesitate to go as there are also short trails that are still very beautiful. You can see beautiful waterfalls, sunsets along the coastlines and breathtaking desert lands.

One spot in California that draws people annually is called the Grotto Hike and although it is not all that long, less than four miles long, it begins close to Malibu and is a downhill trail that descends into a canyon that is narrow and has rock walls. Giant boulders make up the floor but at the very top is the cavern, which is actually the Grotto. This picturesque view will reveal nature at its very finest with an underground pool fed stream.
