Costa Rica hotels cater for a wide range of visitors, from the fun-loving families to surfers and those visitors who really prefer to stay in a hotel that offers their clients the full extent of the latest an international hotel can offer. Hotels such as the Best Western Jaco Beach Resort are ideal for a family holiday due to its proximity to an excellent beach and its delightfully joyous holiday atmosphere.

There are many such Costa Rica hotels dotted along the Pacific shoreline, each one with a range of excellent facilities that attract visitors with their wide range of excellent facilities. If you feel like getting away from poolside and beach most Costa Rica hotels organise tours for guests staying with them.

If you fancy visiting the Manuel Antonio National Park to get a glimpse of uncommon animals that live in the wild, such as iguanas, macaws and sloths, visit the reception desk at whichever one of the Costa Rica hotels you are staying at and they will arrange the booking for you. For the very brave, come face-to-face with the native crocodiles with a tour of the Crocodile River, or if you have a head for heights, arrange a canopy tour to experience the treetop world amidst the Costa Rica rainforest.

All Costa Rica hotels are able to arrange organised trips for you so you get to experience the very best the country of Costa Rica has to offer. The Jaco Beach Hotel is a particularly secure area and, with a security guard wandering around the grounds, the resort is possibly safer than many other Costa Rica hotels after dark.

The pool is lit in the evenings and remains open quite late, guests can take advantage of the tennis courts on site while the children have enticing play areas to keep them thoroughly occupied. For those guests who prefer to entertain themselves inside during the evening there are excellent bar facilities as well as free WiFi access and a really good restaurant.

Overall, the Jaco Beach Hotel is probably one of the best Costa Rica hotels around this particular length of coast and guests who have stayed there have commented on how enjoyable their sojourn was at this particular hotel.

Quality Is In The Design Of The Fenwick Fly Rod

It is easy for anyone to see the quality design of the Fenwick fly rod. And it is hard to find anyone who will argue that they have some of the best fly rods on the market. And they have had for many years. Since 1952 to be exact. They are experts in designing and producing quality fly rods that keep fishermen on top of their games all across the country.

You will sometimes hear that the old traditional models were better than the newer ones. This is merely a matter of preference and taste. The new rods are just as full of the Fenwick quality as the older ones. They continue to work on the technical design and action of their rods. They put a five year limited warranty out with all their rods. These rods are tops in the performance department.

In the decades of the sixties, seventies, and in the first few years of the eighties, Fenwick turned out a huge amount of their glass rods. So many that it is quite easy to find them being sold on the secondary market today. And being on the secondary market, make it easy to find them at a bargain too. They still have the same performance abilities, the same quality design and action, and they still deliver the integrity of the Fenwick brand.

Many of the first rods that Fenwick put out, have become more of collectors items than being fished. But they all had that Fenwick quality when they were made, and still do. The first ones were produced by Grizzly, and had the aluminum ferrules. The next set had ferrules that were made by putting a tip over butt fiberglass. It was the patented Feralite ferrule, and most of the rod makers since that time have copied that type of tip.

They then began making rods with E-glass. These rods also featured the Feralite ferrule, but had a more crisp action in them, which made for better control in certain areas of the casting. Later on Fenwick improved on these again by adding some Fenglass line. They still made their blanks from E-glass, but the work was shipped over to China. The Western style grips were still on these rods.

If you hear anything remotely negative sounding about the old Fenwick rods, it is that they seem a trifle heavier. But when they were made, they were very light compared to other rods. Technological advances and new manufacturing materials allowed for newer models to be made that were even lighter than the old Fenwick rods.

It was in the seventies that Fenwick made the leap from their fiberglass models to their new graphite models. The graphite was lighter, stronger, and even stiffer. This was also the birth of their infamous Lunkerstick that was the pride of bass fishermen everywhere. Fenwick was the very first to make the all graphite rods. This was done under the watchful guidance of Phil Clock.

Many still say today that quality drips from the tips of the Fenwick fly rod. And with good reason. Once they had the graphite material down, they focused on technical improvements. Their claim to fame for this is the Fenwick Flippin Stick used for catching bass. They are still in the business of improving their designs and staying ahead of their market, producing rods for both freshwater and saltwater fishing.

Getting The Rust Off Of Bowie Knives

Bowie knives and other rugged knives are oftentimes exposed to harsh conditions. These knives are used outdoors and for hunting a great deal, which means a lot of exposure to moisture, blood and other corroding substances. The blade on these knives will sometimes develop a few spots of rust here and there. This is entirely fixable and, if you perform the procedure correctly, your knives will be as good as new. There are multiple ways to go about cleaning the rust off of a knife blade.

Actually, there are numerous options open to you. You can choose to use a "holistic" option, or go with a chemical cleaner. Interestingly, many natural options have very good results, except in the case of severe rust buildup on your blade. One of the first things that you can try is white vinegar. This substance has been used as a cleaning compound since wine was first invented. Simply soak a clean rag in white vinegar, wrap the rag around the knife blade and leave it overnight. When you unwrap the blade the next morning, simply wipe it down with a clean cloth or sponge and warm water. Dry it thoroughly and you should find that any light rust is gone.

You can also use citric acid to remove rust. You can buy lemon juice in bottles at most grocery stores, and this is what you'll want. Rub the blade down with the juice and then wrap it in a cloth. Get the cloth wet with lemon juice, as well. The knife will have to sit for a while again but, after it's done, you should be able to wipe away the rust spots with a soft cloth, a toothbrush or a metal tool. Some people clean their bowie knives in this fashion as it requires no harsh chemicals.

Vinegar can be used in much the same fashion as can citric acid or oil. The most important thing to remember with caring for the blades on Bowie knives is that they should always be dry of any water and given a light coating of oil when they're stored.

These blades can last much longer than a lifetime if they're cared for, and will generally last less than a year if they're not. Knives are elegant tools and are often made of very expensive steel. This makes them durable, even when their blades have become rusted from improper care or disuse.

In planning our wedding, my now husband and I decided to honeymoon in Costa Rica since we figured we may never have the opportunity to go back. I was so glad that we made the decision to go and take advantage of getting married in order to go on this trip that I still think about it.

We chose the Natural Love package and wow was it great. It was eight days of bliss together without any family or friends ringing our phones off the hook. We started out at the Villa Blanca and went horseback riding through some of the most beautiful country I have ever seen.

During our time there we also got the opportunity to see the Arenal Volcano which was positively amazing and then our honeymoon in Costa Rica took us to another hotel where we could enjoy even more in this beautiful country.

During the last few days we were able to go to a spa, go kayaking, fishing and even scuba diving. Of course the beach was amazing and I could not have asked for a better way to work on my tan. It was a great way to relax as well.

At the end of our honeymoon in Costa Rica tour, they took us to the airport so we did not have to worry about transportation and made sure that we had plenty of time to get through customs.

Once we got back all of my friends were asking how the trip was and I told them that words could not tell them enough. I gave everyone the website so they could see for themselves just how great our honeymoon in Costa Rica really was. My best friend was so jealous that she plans on talking to her husband about making this a second honeymoon for them.

Annapolis, Maryland is the best spot for fishermen throughout the rich fishing season. Fishermen want to have fun fishing in Annapolis, so along with their gear, they often bring their families and look for the best charter services available. A great charter to use is the Chesapeake Bay Sport Fishing Charter. The Bay is well known for its rich fishing and there is no better place than the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland.

Chesapeake Bay is well known for it's vast selection of fish. What draws fishermen in, however, is not just the selection, but the size of the fish caught. Fish in the Bay seem to grow huge, from tabletop size flounders to large cobia and schools of striper, the sizes are equal to trophy size fish. If you are an occasional fisherman or a avid fisherman, the Chesapeake is a great place to spend your time.

The reason the Chesapeake Bay is such a good place to fish comes from the many inflowing rivers that feed into the Bay. There are numerous fishing charters. as well as other marine services, that call the Bay home because of its rich source of fish.

A great spot for your charter to take you would be the Bay Bridge Tunnel. This is an underwater tunnel that because of its design, it has formed one of the largest man made reefs in the entire world. This is achieved by the numerous rocks, pilings and underwater channels.

Fishing the Chesapeake Bay is an unbelievable experience, mainly due to the size of fish caught. Striper, that were once hard to find, are now in an abundance in the Bay. Flounders can look like tabletops in size and the trout are beautiful and huge. The Chesapeake has always been a great fishing spot, one of the best in the U. S. A. Fish here are not only large, but they are in abundance. Both saltwater fishermen and freshwater fishermen are drawn to the Bay because of its rich waters. Charter services have plenty of bridges, channels and rock piles to choose from as prime fishing spots.

For sportsmen that want to have fun fishing in Annapolis, a great idea is to use a charter service. These services know the sweet spots, spots where underwater reefs have formed from rocks and where the large fish hide. They can make fishing more fun because instead of guessing where the fish are, you will be out with people who know.

For men seeking adventure out on the water and wanting to have fun in Annapolis, a charter service will help increase the fun. Plan a trip the entire family can enjoy and experience the sights, smells and fun of a fish on the line.

A Short History Of Three Popular Makers Of Skimboards

As a teenager in the 1970s, growing up in Laguna Beach, California meant learning how to skimboard. Three skimboard manufacturers are doing quite well in this market. As the sport becomes more popular around the world, these companies are having fun trying to meet the need to produce new and improved skimboards.

Tex Haines and Peter Prietto, who were part of the first generation of skimboarders to grow up in Laguna Beach during the 1970s, started Victoria Skimboards in 1976. Today, it is the most authentic and innovative skimboard company in the world. They have dominated the market for over thirty years, progressively refining board shapes, introducing the rocker and the first foam core board. Using input from their team of riders has been the key to producing the board quality you have come to expect from this company.

The first ZAP skimboard was built in 1983 in Venice, Florida. At that time, Bob Smetts was building surfboards and sailboards under the 'Smetts' and 'Windflight' labels. ZAP was created to supplement the surfboard building income. Eventually making these boards was his only business.

During early 1990s, ZAP began being marketed globally. As a skimboarder, Bob understands the needs of riders and is always looking for ways to improve the design, shapes and quality of his boards. His company understands the details involved in creating real performance boards.

In 2002, Aaron Peluso and Andy Chiavetta created Exile Skimboards. Andy had been making these boards for himself and friends since 1991. When he got together with Aaron, they figured out a way to start Exile. Being one of the younger companies around, it is now the largest manufacturer of high-end board in the world. They were able to contract with some of the world's top skimboarders when they first started their company. That gave them a good head start in the business and they are showing no signs of slowing down.

These skimboard manufacturers are evidence that this sport is becoming very popular around the world. There are now skimboarding contests held in the United States and Europe to establish ranking amongst skimboarders and to provide a way for companies to market new designs of their skimboards.

The majority of travellers, who want to go backpacking Australia, will start their travels in Sydney. If you plan to fly in to Brisbane, Melbourne or Perth, it will probably cost the same as flying to Sydney. If you're starting your trip in January, why not think about flying in to Perth and working your way along the south coast when it is warm in the summer, and doing Sydney and the East Coast after this?

Melbourne has four seasons (the opposite way around to the seasons in Europe). Winter is generally cool - but rarely below 10c - and the summer is generally hot and in the 30s. Cairns on the other hand is in the tropics, and has two seasons: wet season - from November to May, dry - season from June to October. It is really hot all year round. Between these two places, the climate is seasonal and warm, with lots of sunshine all year round.

There are lots of flights to Australia, and if you shop around and are flexible with dates, you can often find some surprisingly cheap deals. Flying from South East Asia can also be a cheap option (remember the flight from Bali to Perth is about four hours).

It's hard not to fall for the 'East Coast trip' when backpacking Australia, and the best advice is to make sure you've got plenty of money in the bank and enjoy it.

There is no shortage of flights to Australia, and if you shop around and are flexible with dates, you can often find surprisingly cheap deals. The major reasons for this are its versatility, its durability and its lightness of weight and its resistance to corrosion.

A brief description of fiberglass is needed to understand the details that make fiberglass construction very popular. In the first stage of its production we find liquid glass pouring out of very fine nozzles. After coming out of the nozzle the fibers are joined into a single strand which is wound around a spool. These strands are combined with other materials to produce a variety of products. One of the most notable product types is what is called glass-fiber-reinforced plastic. To produce this kind of material, the glass fibers are combined with a polymer resin, usually polyester. Polyester itself is a very fragile material, but the infusion of glass fibers into it makes it flexible and durable at the same time.

With their ability to trap air within themselves, fiberglass blocks were initially mainly used for the purposes of insulation. But over a passage of time, fiberglass has become a popular material with wider industrial use. Apart from thermal and electrical insulation, it is also used for purposes like sound absorption and reinforcement of various materials especially plastic products. It is used to make high strength fabrics, mats, pole vault poles, automobile bodies, swimming pool linings, roofing, furniture, goalie masks, skis, fishing rods, archery bows, surfboards and boat hulls. With such myriad uses, it is evident why fiberglass construction is quite in demand.

Because of its amazing qualities fiberglass is applied for making several products. This is the reason as to why fiberglass construction surpasses all other kinds of construction. Fiberglass can be tooled, molded and manufactured in a wide variety of ways so it is favored by all manufacturers. The other advantage it enjoys is of its affordability. Working with fiberglass is economical and reasonable compared to other materials. It is also characterized by a high surface area to weight ratio. Fiberglass is non-corrosive and durable. Another quality of fiberglass is that it is light in weight. It can endure extreme environments like harsh temperatures, chemical acids and even ultra-violet light. More so, manufacturers prefer fiberglass over other materials as it can be created in varied colors, finishes and textures as per the requirement.

It is because of all these advantages that a lot of manufacturers want to go in for fiberglass construction. This is particularly true for those in the boat building industry. This is because it has been found that fiberglass contributes in a major way in building high-quality boats which are strong and durable. With the recent developments in technology of producing fiberglass, it has become a preferred choice of material for most boat manufacturers to build solid and laminated fiberglass hulls for boats and yachts.

Is a Bowie Knife Suitable for Throwing?

Throwing knives have been around almost since the first knife was invented. However, the types and styles of knives designed for throwing have evolved throughout the years. You will find some surprising blades that can be thrown accurately if you know how to do it. Can you through Bowie knives, though? These very large knives might seem like the last knife you might want to throw, but it can be done.

First, while Bowie knives are certainly large, they are by no means ill-fitting for the world of thrown weapons. They have been used successfully as such for centuries. However, it is certainly true that there are better options for throwing knives. Smaller, lighter knives can make just as big of an impact, without forcing you to take the extreme measures required to hurl a Bowie knife through the air accurately. With that being said, a Bowie knife might make an excellent thrown weapon, particularly if you have no others at hand.

For comparison, consider a throwing knife. They generally have a light handle, if any, and no hand guard. The edges are usually moderately sharp and are designed out of steel that is much harder to sharpen-but much more resilient to abuse-than are cutting knives. These knives are characteristically light and are balanced along the midpoint of the blade. This is clearly a different weapon than a Bowie knife.

Actually, the Bowie knife has a long history of being thrown. Experts and teachers during the early years of the knife's existence showed that it was possible to throw the knife with lethal accuracy. However, they stressed several different things to their students that differed from throwing lighter, smaller knives. What are these? First, because Bowie knives are considerably larger and heavier than their brethren are, you should consider aiming a bit higher than you would with a regular knife. This will make the Bowie arc upward and then curve down and hit the target where you actually want.

Don't throw your Bowie knife. If you're thinking of this as a self-defense technique, be aware that you'll much more likely be offering your assailant a free knife-however ungraciously you may be doing so notwithstanding-than offering them a mortal threat. Your Bowie was designed to be handled as any other fighting and hunting knife, but it does have its limitations. If you want to throw knives, buy cheap ones, don't use a good Bowie.

If you are looking for a fun activity that the entire family can enjoy, consider boating. It has the added benefit of being educational, and relaxing as well.

Bear in mind, though, that boating can be hard on the environment if not managed properly. If you are reckless or careless, you can pollute the water and disturb marine habitats. To keep your boating experience enjoyable as well as environmentally sound, follow the tips below:

1. Bring a trash bag: One of the basic rules of nature is that you take nothing but memories (or pictures) and leave nothing but footprints. Everything you bring in, you have to bring back out.

2. Stop fuel drips: Be careful when refueling your boat. Spilling fuel can be very damaging to marine life. Add fuel slowly, and keep any spills from dripping by using a rag to sop them up. Always leave 10% of the fuel tank capacity empty. And never, ever "top off" your tank. This practice can lead to overflows and larger spills.

3. Perform maintenance on land: Whenever possible, avoid doing any sort of maintenance on a boat if it is in the water. Wait until you are back on land. It is far better for paint chips, fuel, or debris to fall on land than into the delicate aquatic ecosystem.

Just to be sure, it's best to have an 'out of the water' policy for all boat maintenance.

4. Use clean non-toxic paints: When you paint your boat, use non-toxic paint. Even though the paint will be dry by the time it goes into the water, using a toxic paint is dangerous to marine life. Paint can chip, and the chips can then dissolve into the water.

Inexpensive paints are often toxic paints. Don't think that because the paint will be dry before you go back in the water that this will be safe for wildlife. Even dry paint can be toxic to marine life. Paint chips can come off of the boat and dissolve into the water.

Benefits of the K-Light Solar Lantern

Many campers are going solar these days, and very good reason for it. Before, people would end up spending hundreds of dollars every couple months to replace their dead flashlight batteries. I remember when I would forget to bring my own extra batteries, and the flashlight would die on me, leaving me without any flashlight to use. That was really upsetting, because when it had happened I was younger, so I wasn't able to run to a store like an adult.

Campers from young to old, and everything in between can start using solar energy. The Eco Friendly K-Light Lantern is an low priced, high quality solar light which receives it's power from the sun.

One of the great benefits of the Solar Powered Lantern is the bright LEDs. And the Pisat solar powered lantern can be tied to a tent line or hanging off a tree. Also it includes a 360 rotating handle. And a very strong casing keeps this lantern from breaking if you happen to drop it. And with just 2 hours of a solar charge, you can get up to 20 hours of use.

With the included lightweight solar panel, it will collect power from the great sun or even within ample indoor lighting. That is correct, indoor lighting will charge this solar lantern. On the backside of the solar lantern, you can insert the plug for the solar panel to power and charge it. The solar lantern will last up to 10 years. So if we did the math in dollars compared it to spendings, it would cost over $500 dollars if we used flashlights and lanterns that took batteries. And we have not mentioned the bulb replacements.

As you can tell, owning a solar k-light lantern is going to be the best investment you might ever make simply by the savings, all the other extra benefits like helping the environment, using sustainable type lighting, and using it all day long, makes it that much better. If you are a camper and have realized the potential, what are you waiting for? Get yours today!

One of the very first advice you'll be given on bass fishing is to get your fishing techniques right, because in the sport of bass fishing, skill triumphs over luck. Therefore in this article we will take a look at some bass fishing tips that you can use on your next trip.

That being said, do not always take other people's advice as an absolute must in your own fishing technique, nothing is true until it have been tried and tested with success! Therefore you should take the advice as a guide line instead. Do bear in mind that there are many factors that will make or break your fishing trip, the season, water temperature, weather and even time of the year can affect that, therefore do take those into consideration when choosing your lure and your baits.

You should also always look out for practical bass fishing tactics and tips, instead of one claimed to be the best fishing tips. What I mean is, instead of trying to follow by the books and make sure everything is a 100% in line with the tip, try doing things more practically as that is the only way to successfully develop your own fishing techniques.

Here are some practical tips you can use:

Casting - Cast further away from the fishes that you're actually trying to lure! This way your cast will not disturb the flow of the water as well as the fishes. Once cast , retrieve it back slowly to simulate the movement of a bait.

Practice - Knowing where to cast and actually having the correct skill set is two different things. Thus you should always practice your cast in your own backyard while you're not fishing, sidearm cast and underhand cast can be useful in netting you bigger fishes!

Lure - Different circumstances and situation requires different lures, thus you are expected to learn about the particular fish habits and feeding pattern to successfully choose the correct lure. The color of the lure you use will also be important, therefore make sure you have a good understanding of what you're trying to fish.

The above are just some bass fishing tips that you should be aware of, as you go along your fishing trip, do make a note of what works for you and what doesn't, this way you'll eventually find a bass fishing technique that will fit you!

How You May Benefit From Water Aerobics

Doing water aerobics can be a fun way to get fit. It is for people of all ages and yes it is a real work out. The heart rate goes up and the muscles do more work than they normally would. While the body becomes more toned and the muscles gain more strength, there is low to no impact on the joints. The only thing needed is a swimsuit. The work out is done in water that may new waist high, chest high or neck high. This will depend on if it is beginners or advanced and what the intensity of the work out is.

Water aerobics are exercises that are non weight bearing. This means the deeper you are in the water the more your body weight is supported. Gravity is having very little effect on your body and you feel weightless. You can run in the pool without the jarring and jolts to your joints and the possible damage it may cause to your knees. If you are already injured, have back pain, or aching joints being in the water will allow you to exercise without the stress of gravity. There is a natural buoyancy with exercising in water. If you are in water up to your neck this means that 90% of your body weight is being supported by it.

As with any aerobic exercise it will help you burn fat and lose weight. It will increase your heart rate although it is at a steady and lowered rate. You may burn more calories than with exercise out of the water. A half hour of running in the pool burns about 300 calories due to the added resistance of the water. Depending on the intensity of the workout 450 to 700 calories can be burned in a one hour class.

The exercises is not just running and walking in water. Calisthenics can be done in the water. Lunges, squats, walking laps, dancing, kicking and jumping are also done. Of course swimming is an option as well. The classes do not require you to know how to swim. Most times you will be in the water up to your chest or waist. Although there are more advanced classes where you are in deep water. In this case a flotation belt is used to keep you upright in the water. Kickboards are used and water noodles both of which offer resistance and help you stay afloat.

Every movement, in every direction, done in the water is against the resistance of it. In this way range of motion is increased, strengthening muscles that may not normally be, outside of the water. Balance and flexibility is improved as well. The core muscles are consistently engaged since you have to keep yourself upright and stable with each movement. To further work the upper body there are dumbbells specifically made for use in the water called aqua blocks.

These classes are held in outdoor and indoor pools. In the warmer months you can stay cool and still get in your daily work out. There are instructor led classes that can usually be found locally at community centers and gyms. Many classes are held in warm water up to 86 degrees. This is ideal for those suffering with arthritis. The warmth relaxes the muscles and soothes the joints. At the same time allowing for exercise that does not further stress either one. The resistance will strengthen the muscles and tendons surrounding the joints.

Women who are in the latter part of pregnancy will find relief from the pressure on different organs and muscles and bones. The water will keep the body buoyant while allowing you to exercise without any jolting or jarring. Back pain is an issue for many people. The stress of gravity is removed in the water and the core and back muscles gain strength which can help reduce back pain.

You may try water aerobics as alternative, or in addition to your normal exercise routine. Just add a day or two of it instead of the treadmill. It is sure to be a lot more fun and interesting while helping you lose weight, improve heart health and gain strong muscles.

When it comes to looking for sandals, it can be so hard finding a pair that is going to be comfy. For so many ladies, comfort is just as important - if not more crucial - than style. But why can't you have fashionable sandals that are comfy, too?

NAOT sandals are comfortable, but if you're looking to cut down your choices, below you'll find the top five NAOT sandals to check out when hunting for new shoes. NAOT sandals come in 7 varying styles: Slide, Backstrap, Toe Strap, Removable Footbed, Rhinestone, Wedge, and Flats. The wedge NAOT sandals are comfortable, but they are not the most comfortable of the other styles of sandals, and the Rhinestone series is similar to the Slides. As for the most comfortable NAOT sandals, check out the following options.

1. Slide Sandals - These sandals come in a selection of options from slip-on sandals with a tiny 1/4' heel to a two 3/4' heel. The smaller heel sandals are tons more comfy than those with a heel. You will find the Classic Collection are the most comfortable because they've a smaller heel. These sandals are a joy to wear and should be able to provide instant relieve for your aching arches and feet.

2. Backstrap Sandals - The Backstrap NAOT sandals are very good because they have a strap in the back of hte sandal to help in keeping the shoe on your foot. You do not have to worry about holding on with your toes. There is a slight heel on most of these shoes that go from 3/4' heel to a 2 1/2' heel, but with the comfort of the backstrap, the sandals are way more comfortable than you might imagine.

3. Toe Stap Sandals - Like most of the NAOT sandals, these have a slight heel with a range from 1/4' to 1 3/4', which isn't that bad, and you will notice that for a flip flop, these sandals are comfortable.

4. Removable Footbed Sandals - These NAOT sandals offer pliability, femininity, and ability. They come in a selection of styles with a slight wedge heel from about 1 1/4' to 1 3/4' tall. These sandals all have removable footbeds that permit you to get the maximum comfort. Whether you use or remove the orthopedic insoles, your feet will definitely be comforted.

5. Flat Sandals - studios are potentially going to be the most comfortable NAOT sandals on the pure fact that they are flat. These sandals only have a heel of about 1/4', but some do range up to one 1/2' high. These sandals can appear as dress sandals, so that you can wear them to work, but they are superb for the weekends in your jeans and t-shirt as well .

More comfort shoes: Josef Seibel shoes

Each year, colleges and universities from all over the nation send their men's basketball teams to the "Last Frontier State" to the Great Alaska Shootout Basketball Tourney. The competition heats up the cold winter days and nights, as teams meet head on to battle for buckets. Colleges and universities get the opportunity to play against their top rivals and powerhouses of the game. These games draw in record crowds every year, as any basketball fan should not miss the chance to attend this fast paced pre season classic.

The main question on any sports fan's mind was, why Alaska? The reason is simple, former University of Alaska Anchorage head coach, Bob Rachal found a loophole in the NCAA rules determining pre season plays. In an effort to draw more attention to the state, the University of Alaska Anchorage, and the Seawolves athletic program, Rachal became the mastermind of what began as the Sea Wolf Classic. The NCAA rules stated any games played outside the contagious 48 states did not count towards a program's pre determined allotment. For this reason, participants of the Great Alaska Shootout Basketball Tourney can get an early gauge of their teams prowess against national talent.

The first Sea Wolf Classic was held in 1978 for the '78-'79 basketball season and saw the Wolfpack of North Carolina State University crush the University of Louisville's Cardinals. The tournament ended in 1978, leaving many wondering if it would become an annual event. Much to everyone's relief, the Sea Wolf Classic became a Thanksgiving tradition in 1979, but under a new name.

Broadcaster Billy Packer is credited with changing the name from the Sea Wolf Classic to the Great Alaska Shootout Basketball Tourney back in 1979. In this stunning tournament, the title game came down to the University of Kentucky Wildcats and the Iona College Gaels. The Wildcats proved too powerful for the tiny New York school, and emerged victorious as the second champion of this fantastic new basketball challenge.

A list of past champions reads like a who's who of College basketball, including NC State, Louisville, Kansas, Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina, and UCLA to name a few.

The attendance may have been meager in the early days, but soon the action caught on, and now college basketball fans of all ages flock to the state for the Thanksgiving weekend Great Alaska Shootout Basketball Tourney.
You may be planning to put new seats in an old boat, or maybe you want to modify existing seating. In both cases, it will make sense to address yourself to a custom boat seat manufacturer. Follow this guide to learn how to do it.

Just as there are many different kinds of water going vessels, from pontoons to fishing boats so sailing yachts and ferries, boat seats can have multiple purposes and constructions too. The most important points are the type of boat, the area where the seats need to fit in, and who will be using the seats.

When planning for customized boat seats, the best bet is to prepare a detailed list of the specifications that you want your seats to have, and then to discuss the list with several manufacturers.

Once you get their replies, don't look at the prices right away but compare the way that they reply to your request. It will tell you a lot about who is the more professional builder, and this will be reflected in your successive dealings with them. Only then look at the price.

Not only should you make sure that the boat seat manufacturer has understood the exact size requirements of your order, but if at all possible he should also commit in writing to modifying the seats if the sizing turns out to be wrong.

If you order custom boat seats, there will be a wealth of details that you will need to decide upon, and it's easy to get lost in the maze of options. Make sure that all the details follow the imperative of function, whether on style, material or color.

Concerning special modifications and extras, you should mention whether you want the boat seats to include storage space, any seat belts for holding down the passengers, or whether they should be padded.

The padding itself can be variable. Seats and cushions can be manufactured with medium, firm or extra firm padding foam, so you may even want to use a variety on your boat according to the location and specific use of the seats, especially if you normally have passengers on board.

Make sure that the chosen materials match the boat and the boat seat's function. For a vintage boat, you want corresponding material. If the seats will be outside and will take a lto fo humidity, they need to be water- and salt-proof.

If your seats are made of or with steel, do ensure that there will be no protruding bolts or other parts that will make it uncomfortable for passengers o sit for a long time. You don't want those boat seats to be painful seating.
